Guildford Flames 3-6 Bracknell Bees Bracknell started this game in the same way as the first, by putting one past Grant King inside the first minute. I am not sure of the Bracknell scorers but the Flames scorers were; Kent Nobes, Jason Dailey and Jason Dailey again. Grant King played exceptionally well against a 17 import side, his best moment was the 1 on 1 save against Ceman after a Guildford PP.
Bracknell Bees 2-0 Guildford Flames Baker Tilly Challenge Shield 1st Period The game started brightly for Bees and they were on the scorecard within the first minute when Doug Stienstra picked up a loose puck at the point, following some good Bees pressure, and first-timed his shot past McArthur in the Guildford net. Bees were well on top and taking the game strongly to Guildford. On the three min mark an excellent passing move in the Guildford zone ended with an excellent save by McArthur. Then Turner went broke through the middle of the Guildford zone and went in 1 on 1 with the netminder. He was denied by another fine save as was Cadotte a few minutes later. McArthur, who was having an excellent game came to Guildford's rescue near the end of the period as Bees pressed on the powerplay. 2nd Period Guildford came out with a lot of fire early in the second period and had a couple of chances which the Bees defence managed to scramble away. Six minutes into the period Bees doubled their lead when some fine interpassing ended with a pass to Hurley near the far Guildford post on the left. He tipped the puck in. 3rd Period The third period was similar to the second with Bees rarely in trouble while McArthur defied all their best efforts at the other end. Stienstra came closest with a wrist shot that hit the post midway through the period. I wasnt able to be at the match but I have been told that Mark McArthur and Jason Dailey played very well.
